The Church of Simeon Stylites in the village of Razvil' is first mentioned as "newly arrived" in 1667. In 1763, a new church was built to replace the old one, but without a bell tower, and the bells were placed on beams next to the church. In 1847, a two-altar wooden church on a stone foundation with an altar in honor of Saint Tikhon appeared. At that time, it was said that the parishioners were mostly prone to schism and cared little for the church.

In 1874, the church's roof became unusable, and a fire in 1893 completely destroyed it. During this time, a temporary single-altar church was built. In 1904, thanks to the funds from Nizhny Novgorod merchant A.S. Matveev, the cold and warm parts of the stone church were erected, and the bell tower was built ten years later.

However, the church did not serve the people for long. In 1937, priest N.I. Speransky was executed, and the nun attendants were sentenced to eight years in labor camps. The church was closed and looted.
