The church in the village of Novoselka Zyuzina was founded in 1780 by Prince Shcherbatov and consecrated in honor of Saint Simeon the God-receiver and Anna the Prophetess. The church is assigned 36 desyatins of land, and the parish includes three villages: Novoselka Zyuzina, Domnino, and Nosovo. These villages have 98 houses, inhabited by 270 men and 364 women.

Novoselka-Zyuzina, a landowner's village, is located 30 versts from Rostov. It has 69 houses, with 169 residents, and 167 land allotments.

The church, built of stone with a single dome and a tall bell tower, was erected on the site of an old wooden church, about which little is known. It stood outside the village, on the site of the current cemetery. The church lacks miraculous icons, as well as ancient utensils and books.

No legends about the origin of the village have survived among the locals. It is only known that Prince Shcherbatov, deciding to build a stone temple, chose a location outside the village and annexed his village of Pogibel'tsevo, located half a verst from Novoselka, with the aim of expanding and turning the village into a trading center. However, his plans were not realized due to his death.

The temple was closed in 1928, and during the Soviet era, its building housed a grain grinder and a flour storage.
