In May 2013, the residents of the village of Malo-Borisovo and neighboring settlements in the Suzdal district of the Vladimir region began restoring the destroyed Holy Trinity Church. At the same time, the idea arose to build a new wooden church nearby to resume services as soon as possible. Metropolitan Evlogy of Vladimir and Suzdal blessed the construction, and it was decided to erect the church 25 meters from the ruined Holy Trinity Church. Fundraising began, part of which was obtained through the program "Orthodox Parish" on the radio station "People's Radio."
Construction work started in May, and by December 2013, the crosses of the new church were consecrated. On October 20, 2014, the new church was consecrated in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
