The Sergius Church is located at the entrance to the city of Kstovo, on the federal highway connecting Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan. Its solemn laying took place in May 2015, conducted by Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas. On September 14, 2016, on the day of the church's New Year, Metropolitan Georgy performed the Great Consecration of the church.
The church was built according to a unique design. The Great Consecration ceremony was led by Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas. This is the first consecration of a new church in Kstovo in the last 20 years. The church is a single-altar, five-domed wooden structure of tent type, executed in the Old Russian style. The area of the one-story church exceeds 700 sq.m, and it accommodates about 600 people. The church is erected at the entrance to the city, in a new microdistrict, and has become the second Orthodox church in Kstovo.
