The Church of Sergius of Radonezh is located in the village of Artyushkino in the Sengileevsky District of the Ulyanovsk Region. This village has a long history, first mentioned in the second half of the 17th century when serf Chuvash people were resettled here. The village was named after one of its first residents. According to research, in the first half of the 18th century, it became a landowner's estate, owned by the Maltsev family. The first Christian structure appeared here at the end of the 17th century in the form of a chapel. In 1856, a church was built and consecrated in honor of Sergius of Radonezh. This is a completely wooden building, clad with planks both inside and out. The church is low, with a gabled roof topped by a small onion dome with a six-pointed cross.

The church managed to survive the Soviet period, and today it is open to visitors daily and is actively functioning.
