The stone Sergius church was built in the early 19th century on the site of a previous wooden church thanks to the efforts of landowner Alexey Fokich Kareev. On July 20, 1863, a chapel in honor of the holy equal-to-the-apostles kings Constantine and Helena was consecrated here. In 1891, the refectory part of the church was expanded on the southern side, where a new chapel with the previous iconostasis was arranged. In 1893, a similar expansion occurred on the northern side, funded by the treasurer hieromonk Innocent, where a new altar and iconostasis were also installed. This chapel was dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow." In 1914, the church was painted with oil paint inside, and all the iconostases were renewed. In 1915, the walls of the church were adorned with frescoes. The church was closed in 1939, after which it was used by the collective farm "Krasnaya Nov" as a warehouse, as well as for joinery and mechanical workshops. In 2009, the church was restored and reopened. On October 10, 2009, it was consecrated by Archbishop Pavel of Ryazan and Kasimov.
