The wooden church dedicated to St. Seraphim is built in the style of tent-like temples, characteristic of the Russian North. The project was initiated and funded by Viktor Vladimirovich Klochai, who at the time held the position of vice-governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The church was consecrated in 2005, the year marking the 250th anniversary of the birth of St. Seraphim of Sarov. The church houses relics, including an icon with a particle of the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov, as well as particles of the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh, St. Macarius of Yellow Water, the Divesian saints, and St. Oleg of Bryansk.
