The parish of the Church of Seraphim of Sarov in Novocheremshansk was founded in 1990. At that time, the building, previously used as a grocery store, was converted for conducting services and church rituals. This continued for almost four years until a decision was made in 1994 to build a separate building for the church in the settlement. Construction lasted about three years. The new building is entirely wooden, clad with planks both inside and out, which is characteristic of this area. The main part includes an altar, a prayer room, and a small chapel. The building is adorned with two domes topped with six-pointed crosses. The church was consecrated in 1997.
