In the village of Krasnye Doma, Samara district, a brick parish church was built at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries in an eclectic style, characteristic of the 'model' projects of that time. Although the exact original name of the church is unknown, the dedication to Saint Seraphim of Sarov seems justified. Firstly, the church was re-consecrated in his honor in modern times, and secondly, many churches in the Samara province from that period are also dedicated to this saint. There is no information about the author of the church's design, but it can be assumed that it might have been the provincial architect Shcherbachev, who built the Trinity Church in the neighboring Yelkhovka. During the Soviet era, the church was closed and used for economic purposes.

Parish life in Krasnye Doma resumed in the late 1990s when the preserved brick building of the church was adapted for worship and consecrated in honor of Seraphim of Sarov. Later, a wooden watchman's lodge with a cross on the dome was built nearby, possibly also intended for worship. On May 19, 2014, a fire occurred in the historic church, completely destroying the interior decoration, but the structure of the building remained intact.
