The brick church in honor of St. Seraphim of Sarov was built in 2005-2006 thanks to donations from benefactors. The basement of the church is equipped with a baptismal area. Services are held on Sundays and on holidays.

The rector of the church is Hieromonk Maxim Grigoriev.

On September 22, 2006, Archbishop Anastasiy of Kazan, along with the clergy of the Leninogorsk deanery, conducted the Divine Liturgy and consecrated the newly built church in honor of St. Seraphim of Sarov in the city of Bugulma.

Representatives of the secular authorities attended the service, including the head of the Bugulminsky district administration Nail Magdeev, the head of the Department for Internal Policy of the President of Tatarstan Alexander Terentyev, the secretary of the State Council of Tatarstan Valentina Lipuzhina, and the chairman of the charitable foundation "Twenty-First Century" Evgeny Anatolyevich Borodin.

After the Liturgy, Archbishop Anastasiy congratulated the Orthodox residents of Bugulma on the opening of the new church and expressed gratitude to all who participated in its construction. Special words of appreciation were addressed to the chairman of the "Twenty-First Century" foundation, E.A. Borodin, whose funds were used to build the church, and he presented him with the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov III degree by the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia.
