The village of Spasskoye-Gorodishche is located 25 versts from Vladimir and 8 versts from Suzdal, on the banks of the Nerl River. The name "Spasskoye" is connected to its ownership by the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery. A charter for this village from Tsar Ivan Vasilyevich is mentioned in the monastery's inventory from 1660. Spasskoye-Gorodishche has been listed in the monastery's parish expenditure books since 1697.

The village has a stone church dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built in 1773 through the efforts of the parishioners. Next to it is a warm stone church with an altar in honor of the Nativity of Christ, erected in 1789 also by the diligence of the parishioners. The bell tower is also made of stone. The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. All church documents are preserved: copies of the metric books have been kept since 1802, confession rolls since 1810, and an inventory of church property was compiled in 1838.

The church land includes 1 dessiatina of homestead land and 33 dessiatinas of haymaking and arable land. The plan and boundary book for the land are kept in the sacristy. According to the staff, there is a priest and a psalmist in the parish. The income of the parish from land and sacramental services amounts to up to 640 rubles per year. The parish consists of one village, which has 149 households and a population of 404 men and 438 women.
