Фото 1
The Virgin Mary Church in the village of Semyonovo, built of stone along with a bell tower in 1846, was erected with the funds of parishioners under the guidance of the Department of Estates. The fence around the church is wooden but on stone pillars. The cemetery is located half a verst from the church and is also surrounded by a wooden fence. The church has three altars: in honor of the Ascension of the Lord, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. Among the church's relics are ancient icons of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Nicholas, which were transferred from the closed Krasnoborsk schismatic monastery. The church is located 345 versts from Kostroma and 52 versts from Varnavino. The nearest churches are: Anninskaya in the village of Nosovaya, 14 versts away; Three Saints in the village of Urenya, 15 versts away; Alexander Nevsky in the village of Pakaley; and Trinity in the village of Karpova, 23 versts away.

The cube of the Virgin Mary Church has survived to this day, although it has been supplemented with modern extensions. Currently, administrative institutions are located in this complex.
