The wooden church, originally built in the early 1780s in the center of the city and known as the Sreten Church, was relocated to the city cemetery in the late 1820s and consecrated in honor of the Nativity. In 1916, it was moved to the Soldiers' settlement on the northeastern outskirts of the city. The church was a wooden structure with a tiered design, topped with three diminishing octagons, and had a refectory with a Nikolsky chapel. In the 1930s, the building was demolished.
