In 1901, the residents of the villages of Rychkovo, Ruskovo, and Redkina appealed to the Tobolsk Spiritual Consistory for permission to build a wooden church in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Rychkovo. That same year, a site for construction was chosen on the western side of the village, near the former birch grove. Fundraising among parishioners began, along with the collection of voluntary donations.

In June 1903, the diocesan authorities approved the project for the wooden church, developed by technician Krayushkin, and in August allowed the laying of the foundation. However, in February 1904, the parishioners decided to build a stone church instead of a wooden one.

The project for the stone church was created in 1906 by Tyumen architect K.P. Chakin, who checked the prepared materials in October of the same year. The project provided for the construction of a one-story church made of red brick, designed for 500 people, with an octagonal dome, altar, refectory, and three-tiered bell tower. The Tobolsk Spiritual Consistory approved the project on November 23, 1906.

The laying of the stone church took place on September 2, 1907. The stonework was completed by June 1909. In 1910, peasant Philip Nikolaevich Ivanov finished the interior plastering, and in 1911, Iosif Andreyevich Khlopotov installed the iconostasis. By February 1912, the church was fully equipped, including six bells on the bell tower.

On September 7, 1912, the church was consecrated as an adjunct to the Ikovo parish. The altar was dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. However, the walls of the church were not painted due to the onset of the revolution and civil war. In 1929, there were plans to close the church for conversion into a club. Although the church was officially closed in 1940, it had been used as a grain warehouse since 1938. By 1946, the building remained in good condition, although many icons and bells had disappeared.

In 1947, at the request of the believers, the church was reopened. In the post-war years, it actively functioned, attracting parishioners from the surrounding areas. In 1961, the church was closed and converted into a grain warehouse, and later used as a mill.

In the early 2000s, cleaning of the church from debris began. By 2005, a cross was installed on the dome, a simple iconostasis appeared inside, and a baptismal room was arranged under the bell tower. Currently, restoration work continues at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
