The construction of the church began in 1907, and on September 3, 1912, Archbishop Nikolai Nalimonov consecrated the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. During the Soviet era, the church was desecrated.

The restoration of the church started in 2008. By spring 2009, the building was covered with galvanized roofing, a copper dome with a gilded cross was installed, and the lost architectural elements were restored. The church was reconsecrated on November 12, 2011, by Archbishop Evlogy of Vladimir and Suzdal in the presence of Archimandrite Nil Sychev and the clergy of the Kameshkovo and Murom deaneries.

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Vladimir Women's Community is built in the Russian style from red brick, without plastering or painting. The uniqueness of the building lies in its large cubical volume, topped with a uniquely sized and constructed cross-dome vault. The architect managed to combine the incompatible: to cover a vast area without intermediate supports, reduce the heated volume while maintaining a large height of the vault, ensure excellent acoustics, and create natural lighting, while preserving coziness and proportion to the human scale.
