The stone church with a two-tiered bell tower was built in 1783 by Prince A. M. Golitsyn. It has three altars: the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Nicholas, and St. George the Great Martyr. Previously, there was a wooden church on this site, which, according to locals, was located at the opposite end of the village. The current church does not have any miracle-working icons, but the icons of the Nativity of the Virgin, St. Nicholas, and St. George the Martyr are especially venerated. Among the ancient utensils, the Gospel in a silver cover stands out, which was transferred to the church in 1782 from the St. Petersburg chapel of the iron row after its fire. This Gospel was donated by the peasant Sedyakin. Among the old printed books are the Prologue of 1650, published by order of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, and the Festal Menaion of 1661. The parish conducts 14 processions on various days, such as April 23, May 9 and 29, on Ascension, Trinity, July 5 and 20, the first Sunday after Ilia's day, July 28, August 6, 7, and 18, June 16, and on the day of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows. These processions have been established for a long time, and the parishioners do not know their exact origin. The church is assigned 34 dessiatinas of land and a parish from five settlements. Since 1863, a village school has been operating in Nikolo-Perevoz. There is a legend that during the reign of Prince Konstantin Vsevolodovich, the prince's falconer Bogdashka found a lost falcon near the river Ustya. In search of it across the river, he was transported by an unknown old man. When the prince visited this place, he discovered an icon of St. Nicholas, in which Bogdashka recognized the old man. In honor of this event, Prince Konstantin founded the church of St. Nicholas here, which gave the name to the village of Nikola on the Ferry. The village is also known for the fact that in 1434, Grand Duke Vasily Vasilyevich the Dark was defeated by his uncle, Prince Yuri Dmitrievich of Galicia. The confluence of three rivers, located not far from the village, attracts citizens from Rostov, who come here to relax in the summer. Previously, there was the residence of Prince Fyodor Dmitrievich Gvozdev, whose daughter Anastasia, upon marrying Prince Ivan Petrovich Shchepin, received this land as a dowry.
