Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Grigoryevsky

Фото 1
Built in 1809 with funds from parishioners, the church is made of stone, has one dome and a tiered bell tower. It has two altars: in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, the miracle worker. The icon of Saint Nicholas was especially venerated. The church was closed in 1941, and during the Soviet era, it housed a garage, a warehouse, and a boiler room. In 1994, the building was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church.
