The clerical records of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Alexandrov for the years 1872-1878 state that the church was built in 1800 through the efforts of the clergy and parishioners. It has five altars: the main one in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Savior Not Made by Hands, and the holy prophet Elijah; in the warm chapel, in honor of the noble prince Alexander Nevsky and the holy martyr Paraskeva. The church is well-equipped with vestments, utensils, icons, and liturgical books, but the library is poor. The clergy includes a rector, an assistant, two psalmists, and two extra-deacon staff.

There is no house church or attached church in the village and parishes, but since 1867, an inventory of church property has been maintained. The cemetery is located by the church, but there is no separate area for it. The school is housed in rooms under the bell tower, and in 1878, the teacher was Mikhail Vasilyevich Pareyskiy, the son of an official. The law teacher was priest Pyotr Obtemperanskiy. The school taught the Law of God, Russian language, writing, arithmetic, and calculations on an abacus. In 1878, there were 47 boys and 6 girls studying. At that time, the village of Alexandrov had 15 households, with 45 men and 47 women living there.

The Diocesan Gazette mentions that in January 1816, priest Ioann Voionov was allowed to be a teacher and open a school in his home. Archival data contains a request from priest Nikifor Vasilyev about a trip to Moscow to purchase a new bell.

In the spiritual almshouse at the temple in 1872 lived the widow of the deceased priest Ioann Troitskiy, Varvara Alexandrovna Troitskaya, with her children Olga and Alexander. In 1878, the widow of priest Alexander Alexandrovsky, Olga Nikolaevna Alexandrovskaya, lived there with her sons Pyotr and Vladimir, who were students at the Vladimir Theological Seminary, as well as the widow of priest Ioann Preobrazhenskiy, Yelisaveta Semyonovna Preobrazhenskaya, with her children Maria, Tatyana, Nikolai, and Vasily. Also living there was Ekaterina Alexeyevna Mikhaylova, the daughter of the deceased sexton Alexey Mikhaylov.

Since 2011, life around the church has become more active. Following the recommendations of the diocesan architect, a chapel is being arranged in the best-preserved part of the church, the bell tower: windows and doors are closed, walls are plastered, and floors are laid. Priest Oleg Novikov conducts molebens and panikhidas in the warm season two to three times a month. However, the ceiling of the summer and winter chapels is almost completely destroyed.
