The Nikolaev Church in the village of Nikolskoye in Sendeg, also known as Nikola Pustyn, is a stone building with a bell tower of the same style. It was built thanks to the efforts of the parishioners and priest Hrysanth Savvin, although the exact date of construction is unknown, but it likely occurred in the early 19th century. According to local legends, there was previously a men's monastery on the site of this church, called 'Nikolskaya Pustyn.' The church is surrounded by a stone fence, and inside the fence is a cemetery. The church has two altars: one in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the other dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. It is 60 versts to Kostroma and 43 versts to Kineshma.
