In the village of Predtechyevskoye on Soti, there are two stone churches: a summer and a winter one. The summer church has three altars: the main one is dedicated to the Nativity of John the Baptist, the right chapel is dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, and the left one is dedicated to Saint Apostle Andrew the First-Called. The winter church has two altars: the main one in honor of the Nativity of Christ and the right chapel dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The winter church was built in 1782, and the summer one in 1849, both erected thanks to the efforts of parishioners and benefactors. A carved head of Saint John the Baptist is especially venerated. On the southern side of the church fence, near the Holy Gates, there is a stone chapel built along with the fence in 1868. The church land occupies 35 desyatinas and 709 square fathoms. There are church houses for the priest, psalmist, church watchman, as well as for a public teacher and a parish almshouse, which was donated by a merchant woman, Rakutina. The church capital amounts to 1886 rubles in interest-bearing bonds. The parish has 663 men and 867 women.
