The church, dedicated to the Nativity of the Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist of the Lord John, was built in 1769 with funds from the parishioners. This stone building features five domes and a bell tower. The church has three altars: in honor of the Nativity of the Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist of the Lord John; in honor of Saint Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, the Miracle Worker; and in honor of the Venerable Gennady of Kostroma and Lyubimograd. During the Soviet era, the building was used as a carpentry workshop. The church is located on the embankment of the Obnora River.
