Church of the Nativity of Christ in Zeleny Bor

Фото 1
The Church of the Nativity of Christ in Zeleny Bor was built in the 2000s. The temple has a cross-shaped plan and stands on a high pedestal made of uniform pine logs arranged "in a bowl." Above the main volume rises a small octagon, hewn "in a paw," which is topped with a high spire and an onion dome on a slender neck. All facades of the church are adorned with arched niches and carved cornices. The window openings of the basement floor have a brick pattern and a keel shape, while the windows of the second light are rectangular and framed with strict moldings. The first service in the temple took place on January 8, 2011.

Today, this fabulously beautiful church, surrounded by the emerald greenery of pine forests, is actively functioning and belongs to the Church of the Resurrection of Slooshchevo in Serpovo.
