The village arose on the site of the Christmas burial ground, named after the stone church of the Nativity of Christ built here, with a chapel dedicated to the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The church, erected in 1788, has partially survived to this day. Only the cubic part of the square structure remains, the entrance of which was adorned with four-columned porticos on both sides. The church is surrounded by an active cemetery.

It is located on the banks of the Kamenka River. In 1897, priest N.P. Zefirov built a parish school next to the church. In the 1930s, the church was closed. During the Soviet era, a medical station, a butter factory, and workshops were housed within its walls.
