In the village of Velikovo, there is a stone church of the Nativity of Christ with a bell tower and a fence, built in 1804. The church had altars dedicated to the Nativity of Christ, the Protection of the Holy Virgin, St. Theodosius of Totma, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the Holy Trinity, and the noble prince Alexander Nevsky. Chapels were also located in the village and the villages of Bolshoye Tokarevo, Maloye Tokarevo, and Germanov Pochinok. Until 1904, the church belonged to the Totma district of the Vologda province. During the Soviet period, bricks from the dismantled bell tower and fence were used to create the foundations of two schools. The complete destruction of the church occurred in the 1970s and 1980s.
