Vasilyev Vrag is a village located in the Arzamas district. The "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese" from 1904 mentions a stone church built in this village in 1857. The calendar lists the altars of the church: the main, cold altar of the Nativity of Christ, as well as the warm chapels: the right one, dedicated to the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, and the left one, to the icon of the Smolensk Mother of God.
