In 1816, in the village of Stary Kushtum, the construction of a church in honor of the victory over Napoleon began with funds from the Bestuzhev family. This stone two-story building has two altars: the main one is dedicated to the Nativity of Christ, and the side altar is dedicated to the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. The construction was completed in 1837.

To this day, the walls and ceilings of the church have preserved frescoes, the colors of which have not lost their brightness. Ceramic figures of Archangels Michael and Gabriel once stood in front of the central entrance, but they were stolen in the early 21st century.

In 1937, 14 bells were removed from the church, the 18-meter bell tower was destroyed, and the icons were handed over to a school, where they were used as blackboards. In 1939, the church was closed, and for a long time, the building served economic purposes.
