The village of Semyonovskoye, previously known as Sorvikha, is located in the Gorokhovets district of Vladimir province. It is believed that the first church here was wooden and built between 1898 and 1907. In 1912, the construction of a new stone church was discussed, which has survived to this day in a ruined state. The church is situated on a hill by a small river that crosses the only street in the village in its middle part. The street stretches east and west, leaving open space around the church.
