In Troitsky Stan, one of the church centers was the Rozhdestvensky pogost, named after the Church of the Nativity of Christ that was located there. The 1616 census mentions: "The village of Dorovataya, and in it the wooden Church of the Nativity of Christ, warm with a refectory, as well as in the village the houses of the priests." Before the church was built in Dorovataya, there were only two households. The name of the village Dorovataya comes from the word "der't", which means a cleared place in the forest. After the church was built, the village began to be called a pogost. The 1659 census records: "The Rozhdestvensky pogost, which was previously the village of Dorovataya on Lake Dorovat, and on the pogost a wooden church in the name of the Nativity of Christ with a refectory."

After the death of the boyar Prince F.I. Mstislavsky, Rozhdestvenskoye along with the villages of Ivanovskoye, Yakutino, Ploskoye, Stolbetskoye, Mokrushy, Kozovolikha, Khmelevka, Sludka, Kropochikha, Gorlanikha, and others was granted in 1640 by Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich to his favorite, Prince B.A. Repnin. The administration of the Rozhdestvenskoye estate was located in the village of Ivanovskoye, where the boyar's court was situated, where the visiting boyar would stay. For more than 150 years, the estate was owned by the Repnins, among whom were Prince I.B. Repnin, head of the Siberian order, and his son Nikita Ivanovich, a renowned military commander-field marshal and president of the Military Collegium, Military Ministry under Peter I, as well as the last prince Nikolai Vasilyevich Repnin, a famous diplomat and military leader, grandfather of the Decembrist S.G. Volkonsky. Due to financial difficulties, N.V. Repnin was forced to sell the estate to F.N. Luginin.

In the village of Rozhdestvenskoye, on the site of the ancient wooden churches, a stone Nativity Church was built in 1802, and in 1852 another two-story Nativity Church was erected.
