The Church of the Nativity of Christ was built in 1813 thanks to the efforts of the parishioners. This stone building, which combines summer and winter churches under one roof, is notable for its durability. The church has five altars: in the summer part are the altars of the Nativity of Christ, the Kazan Mother of God, and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker; in the winter part, the altars of the Prophet Elijah and Saints Cosmas and Damian. The parish has four wooden chapels located in the village of Rozhdestveno and the villages of Balakirevo, Alferovo, and Ivanovo.

The church lands include 3 dessiatinas of estate land, 30 dessiatinas of arable and haymaking land, 5 dessiatinas under the trading area, and 4 dessiatinas under the cemetery. There are six church houses on the territory: five for the residence of clergy members and one for the watchmen. The church capital amounts to 3,250 rubles in bonds. The parish has 2,371 men and 2,609 women living here. There are five schools operating: two zemstvo schools and three church-parish schools, as well as a zemstvo hospital and a library. The clergy staff includes two priests, a deacon, and a psalmist, with the clergy capital amounting to 3,033 rubles in bonds.
