In July 2016, a significant event took place in Nizhnekamsk, the consecration of the Cross at the site of the future Orthodox Kryashen church. The idea of creating a two-story church in the new district of the city belongs to the Kryashen community. They established a parish in honor of the Nativity of Christ, and now, thanks to joint efforts, construction of the church will begin on the site of a former wasteland in microdistrict 46. The consecration ceremony, led by Bishop Parmens of Chistopol and Nizhnekamsk, was attended by about thirty priests from the entire diocese and many believers.

The brick two-story church, approximately 30 meters tall, will become a decoration of the city. The project was developed by architects from Penza. The church will feature a tall bell tower, vaulted walls, and decorative columns. The lower floor will house a baptistery. While the construction of the large church is underway, it was decided to build a small church, which has already been accomplished. A small log church was quickly built next to the consecrated Cross, which was consecrated in October 2016 in honor of the Nativity of Christ. Services began there in the Kryashen and Old Slavic languages.
