According to archival data, a new wooden church dedicated to the Nativity of Christ was built in Lopatišča in 1856. This church had two altars, the second of which was consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. During the Soviet era, the church building housed a rural school. After its closure, the former church began to deteriorate rapidly and eventually turned into faceless ruins overgrown with weeds.
