On June 23, 1881, with the blessing of Bishop Nathaniel of Perm and Verkhoturye, a church was laid in the village of Kulikovsky by Priest Andrey Selmensky. The temple was designed as a stone, cross-domed structure with a bell tower. In 1882, construction reached the level of the vaults, but in 1883, architect R. Reutov halted the work due to poor quality bricks. In 1884, Priest Nikolai Naumov consecrated the church in honor of the Nativity of Christ.

Parishioners allocated 33 desyatins of land for farming and haymaking. Two houses were built for the clergy on communal land.

The clergy consisted of a priest and a psalmist. The priest conducted services and sacraments, while the psalmist was responsible for choir singing and reading, accompanying the priest during visits to parishioners for performing rites, memorial services, and prayers. Additionally, the psalmist managed all documentation for the church and parish, including metric books, marriage records, confession lists, and choir reports.

In 1922, after the Bolsheviks came to power, 2 pounds and 24 gold coins of silver were confiscated from the church. In 1934, bell ringing was prohibited, and in 1935, the church was closed.

After its closure, the church building housed a cultural center for some time. Currently, the building is partially destroyed.

Since 2011, the restoration of the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Kuliki has begun. On June 21, 2014, the first prayer service was held in the temple, attended by local residents and people from neighboring villages. After the service, the faithful walked in a procession around the church and engaged in landscaping the area, planting flower beds and flowers. As of 2019, the church is under construction scaffolding, the central dome has been restored and topped with a cross.
