Kozhino, a village located in the Arzamas district. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the village church of the Nativity of Christ was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. This church dates back to 1818. However, order 5-OD was revoked on October 20, 2014, in accordance with order No. 159 of the State Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. According to the "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese" for 1904, this is a stone temple with the main cold altar of the Nativity of Christ and two warm chapels: the right one dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and the left one to the prophet Elijah.
