The village of Korovino is located 8 versts from the district town. Until 1875, it was a village that belonged to the Sinzhansky parish. The Chamber of State Properties, which managed the village of Korovino, built a stone church. Construction began in 1866, and in 1875 the church was consecrated, establishing an independent parish in Korovino. In 1893, a stone bell tower was erected next to the church. The church has one altar, dedicated to the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos. The church is equipped with everything necessary: utensils, vestments, icons, and liturgical books.

According to the staff, there is a priest and a psalmist at the church. Houses for parish members were built by the Chamber of State Properties upon the opening of the parish. The land near the church is only residential, covering an area of 3 desyatinas; there is no arable or haymaking land. The parish includes the village of Korovino and the village of Ratkovo, where the clerical records list 632 men and 666 women. Since 1882, a church-parish school has been operating in the village of Korovino.
