The Church of the Nativity of Christ was built in 1804 with funds from parishioners and the Petersburg merchant Savely Petrovich Korolev. In 1845, the refectory and bell tower were rebuilt. The village of Kondakovo is the birthplace of the venerable Irinarh, whose icon was especially revered in the church. The well, where, according to legend, a pious young man liked to sit, is considered a local shrine, and the water in it is believed to be miraculous.
