In the village of Artemyevo, located 12 kilometers from Tutayev, Romanov-Borisoglebsk, and not far from the Vaulevsky Assumption Skete founded by the righteous John of Kronstadt, there is a small brick church with one dome dedicated to the Nativity of Christ. The church was built thanks to the efforts of local residents, Zoya Alexandrovna and Anatoly Dmitrievich Popov, who vowed to construct it near the site of the old, now destroyed church. Since 1999, for seven years, the Popov family collected funds for the construction.
The foundation was laid on June 17, 2006, and already on April 8, 2007, on Easter day, the first Divine Liturgy took place in the church. After the completion of the interior work, on September 13, 2009, the church was consecrated in honor of the Nativity of Christ by Archbishop Kirill of Yaroslavl and Rostov.
