The church in honor of the Nativity of Christ was built in 1995 by the efforts of the Agricultural Production Cooperative "Arbuzyovskoye" at the request of the villagers on the site of an old, lost church. The consecration of the church took place on August 6, 1995, by Archbishop Prokl.

Previously, there was a church on this site, erected in 1745 by Fyodor Fyodorovich Skripitsyn. In 1870, due to its dilapidated condition, it was dismantled, and a new church was built on another site with funds from the community. According to tradition, there was a church here in the 17th century in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, but no documentary evidence has survived. Archival data about the previous church is absent, and even the old-timers do not remember its decor. After the church was destroyed, a butter and cheese factory operated on its site until the early 1990s.

The only surviving relic of the old church is a small gate icon of Saint Nicholas the Bishop and Wonderworker. During the Soviet era, it was kept by the faithful. Now, after restoration and the creation of a shrine for it, the icon is placed in the new church as a reminder of the previous church and its lost relics.
