On October 13, 2008, Archbishop Anastasius of Kazan and Tatarstan consecrated the church. This event took place during the reign of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia. The funds for the construction were provided by the famous patron and philanthropist, knight of the orders of the Russian Orthodox Church, Roman Shaporev.
