The Church of the Deposition of the Robe in the village of Ozerki was built of stone in 1813 with funds from parishioners and support from the noblewoman G. Nelidova. The stone bell tower was erected in 1855, and there is also a stone fence enclosing a cemetery. The church has four altars: in honor of the Deposition of the Robe of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Discovery of the Head of St. John the Baptist, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and St. Abraham, the abbot of Gorodets.

Until 1764, there was a monastery in the village known as the "Great Desert," founded by St. Abraham, who lived for some time near a nearby lake.

After the closure of the monastery, significant relics remained in the Church of the Deposition: the Life-Giving Cross with 12 pieces of the relics of saints, whose names are carved on its reverse side, the ancient church icon of the Deposition of the Robe of the Most Holy Theotokos in a silver vestment, the icon of St. Nicholas in a silver vestment, gifted by the Nelidov noble family, the icon of St. Abraham in a metal vestment, and the Smolensk icon of the Mother of God in a metal vestment with an inscription about a donation to the monastery in the year 7197. The library holds a Lenten Triodion published in 1697, which belonged to Hieromonk Matvey Sobolev. The bell tower features a bell weighing about 3 poods with the inscription: "year 7121."
