The Domovoy Church of the Mother of God was founded in 1892 on the second floor of the Alexandrovskaya almshouse, thanks to the funding from St. Petersburg merchants D. L. Parfenov and I. N. Boyev. After 1917, the church was abolished, but the wooden two-story building of the almshouse itself has been preserved.
