The Spaso-Transfiguration Cathedral in Lyskov is located on Krasnaya Gorka, where the wooden Spasskaya Church originally stood. In 2011, the cathedral celebrated its 300th anniversary. It was rebuilt in 1711 by Tsar Archil Vakhtangovich of Kartli-Imereti.

This cathedral is the oldest building in the village. Although the facade of the church has been preserved, its external decoration has been completely lost.

For over 59 years, the cathedral housed the Cross of Equal-to-the-Apostles Nina, made from vine branches. In 1990, the church was transferred to the Makaryev Monastery.

The faithful arranged a winter altar and iconostasis. They also discovered two tombstones belonging to Prince George and his son. The liturgy in the cathedral is held only once a year, on August 19, when many parishioners and residents from nearby towns and villages gather.
