The village of Yazykovo, also known as Novo-Yazykovo, was located in the Arzamas district and now has the status of a historical site. In 1904, a stone church built in the village in 1862 was mentioned in the "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese." The main altar was dedicated to the Intercession of the Mother of God, while the warm chapels were dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Nativity of Christ.

According to the book "Saint Blessed Sergius and the Nizhny Novgorod Land," in the second half of the 19th century, a new settlement called Novo-Yazykovo appeared near Yazykovo, emerging on the site of a small village. The residents of this settlement built a stone Intercession church in 1862. During the Soviet era, the settlement, like neighboring villages, was abolished and destroyed. Today, the semi-ruined Intercession church stands in a field, and the area is known as "Historical Site of Yazykovo."
