The church in the village of Vasilyevo, dedicated to the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is built of stone and is distinguished by its durability. It has three chapels: the main cold one, with an altar in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and two warm chapels. The right chapel is dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and was built and consecrated in 1828, while the left chapel, dedicated to St. Seraphim of Sarov, was established in 1905. Both chapels were erected with the funds of benefactors. Among the revered icons of the church are the icon of the Sorrowful Mother of God and the depiction of Christ the Savior in the tomb. The parish has two wooden chapels: one located in the village and the other in the village of Alexino.
The church land comprises 135 desyatins. The territory includes two church houses: a wooden house for the priest, standing on a stone foundation and covered with iron, and a stone house for the psalmist, covered with shingles. The church capital amounts to 4237 rubles in interest-bearing securities. The parish has 641 men and 778 women. There is a zemstvo school operating in the village. A charity has been organized at the church, and a free library from the sobriety society operates at the volost administration in the village. The clergy consists of a priest and a psalmist, and the clergy capital amounts to 1106 rubles in interest-bearing securities.
