On October 14, 2005, on the feast of the Protection of the Holy Virgin, Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga and Borovsk, along with the archbishops who arrived for the celebration, consecrated the Protection Church in Ust-Kamchatsk. The rector of the church is Priest Nikolai Alekseevich Pendyukov.

Near the church stands a monument dedicated to the families of fishermen, which was unveiled on July 8, 2018, on the Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity.
