The village of Skoryatino, also known as Kavleii, is located in the Arzamas district. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the rural Intercession Church was recognized as a historical and cultural heritage site. The church dates back to 1833. However, order No. 5-OD was revoked on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159, as reported by the State Office for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese" for 1904 indicates that the temple has a main cold altar of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, as well as chapels: the right one, of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, the left one, of the martyr Paul the Confessor, and in the warm church, the right one, of the Nativity of Christ, the left one, of the Meeting of the Lord.
