The church was built in 1772 with funds from the parishioners. In 1836, a winter church was added to it. The building is made of stone, has five domes, and features a tiered bell tower that was erected in 1851. The temple has three altars: in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, and Saint Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, the Miracle Worker. In 1919, the church was closed, and during the Soviet period, workshops and a garage were located within its walls. In 1999, the building was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church and is now an active temple.
