The village of Prechistaya Gora is located 40 versts from Vladimir. About two hundred years ago, there was the Pokrovsky women's monastery here, but the exact dates of its founding and closure are unknown. In the 1830s, a wooden chapel with ancient icons stood on the site of the former monastery church. During this period, the chapel burned down, but two icons, the Resurrection of Christ and the Most Holy Mother of God, were preserved and are still in the homes of local peasants. An icon of the Mother of God from the monastery is also preserved in the church of the village of Yeltesunova, along with a miraculous life-giving cross in the church of the village of Fetinina.

The Church in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1869-1870 through the efforts of the peasants of Prechistaya Gora and the village of Kobelikha. The church has three altars: in the cold part, in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and in the warm part, in honor of the Great Martyr George and Saints Constantine and Helena. Copies of the metric books have been preserved since 1869, and confession records since 1870; an inventory of church property was compiled in 1884 and is kept in the church.

The church has about half a desyatina of estate land, and there is no arable land; instead, parishioners provide the clergy with 12 quarters of rye and 1 desyatina of haymaking land. According to the clergy's staff, there is a priest and a psalmist, with an annual income of up to 440 rubles. Houses for the clergy were built by the parishioners in 1869. The parish includes the village and the village of Kobelikha, with a total of 192 households, 557 men, and 606 women. Since 1869, a church-parish school has been operating in the village.
