The ancient village of Pokrovo-Ramenye, located deep in the forests of the Nekouz district, is known for its Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, which, despite significant losses, has survived to this day. The church has a damaged roof, the floors have been removed, and the frescoes have suffered. The temple was founded in 1829 by the Mologa merchant Fyoma Kosmin Bushkov. The single-domed church fits well into the tranquil landscape, despite being located in a lowland. Architecturally, the church is interesting: a rotunda on a square base, a rarity for the Nekouz region. The bell tower was covered with iron, part of which has survived.

The church has two altars: a summer one in the name of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin and a winter one in the name of the Holy Archangel Michael. In the altar part of the winter church, a fresco of the "Last Supper," created by an unknown master, has survived and is notable for its successful composition. In the summer church, one can see the frescoes of the "Crucifixion" and "St. Maximus the Confessor," but due to the damaged roof, they are quickly deteriorating.

According to data from 1908 about monasteries and churches in the Yaroslavl diocese, the dimensions of the church were 12x38x11.5 m. The church owned 39 desyatins and 209 sazhen of church land and 14 desyatins and 472 sazhen of wasteland, donated for eternal remembrance. The parish included 27 settlements. The clergy staff included a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist. The complex also included a house for the psalmist and deacon. The church housed particularly revered icons of St. Theodosius and St. Seraphim of Sarov.

On the eastern side of the church, there is a pond surrounded by large trees: linden, birch, and poplar. An ancient burial from 1884 has survived in the cemetery.
