The initiative to open the Holy Intercession Church came from the board of directors of the Skuratov settlements and received support from the local administration. The goal was not only to create an Orthodox parish but also to build the church itself. By the blessing of Metropolitan Serapion of Tula and Belev, the parish was named in honor of the feast of the Intercession of the Mother of God. During the construction of the church, a space in the garage blocks of LLC 'Tula-Transavto' was allocated for religious activities. The first service in this space took place on December 23, 2000, and was conducted by Bishop Kirill of Tula and Belev. With a large number of believers present, a moleben with the blessing of water and the sprinkling of the building and parishioners was performed. The next day, on Sunday, the first Divine Liturgy was held. Currently, regular services, sacraments, and rituals are conducted in the church.
