Built in 1794 with funds from parishioners, the church is a stone building with one dome and a tiered bell tower. It has two altars: in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin and Saint Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, the miracle worker. A special veneration was given to the portable cross containing relics of saints. A church parish school operated at the church. In 1918, the authorities seized church and parish assets. In 1922, silver church utensils and 7 bells were removed from the church, and the fence was dismantled. However, the church remained open.
